Mayuri Patil is a design professional with a background in Architecture and User Experience Design. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a Master’s degree in Experience Design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kannur. Her academic journey as a faculty member is shaped by a deep interest in user-centered research, design thinking, and the ever evolving intersections of creativity, technology, and human behavior. With hands-on experience in design education, she brings a balanced perspective of spatial and digital systems, approaching teaching through an interdisciplinary and practice-led lens. Her classroom approach emphasizes empathy-driven innovation, critical inquiry, and real-world application. In her academic role, she has engaged with core subjects such as User Research, Design History, and Innovation Methodologies. Her teaching philosophy revolves around experiential learning, storytelling through design, and cultivating a culture of curiosity and exploration among students. Beyond academics, Mayuri explores ideas of visual storytelling and draws inspiration from typography and contemporary design culture. She is keen to participate in collaborative academic initiatives, contribute to future research, and remain actively involved in shaping progressive design practices.
