The School of Management at Avantika University conducted an informative session on global logistics for MBA and BBA (IB & Marketing) students. As studying logistics is the first step toward building viable market entry strategies. The session helped students gain deep insights into efficient supply chains facilitating commerce between countries on a global scale. Mr. Khushned Khan, Head MP of Flomic Global Logistics Ltd., a Mumbai-based company with over 43 years of experience and operations in more than 80 countries was present as an esteemed guest, increasing awareness and understanding of global logistics. Flomic Global Logistics Ltd. provides end-to-end solutions to export and import houses for renowned companies such as Eicher Motors, Mahindra, and Force Motors, among others.

Omshree Group of Companies | Student Training Session | School of Management

The students of International Business specialization from the School of Management at Avantika University completed a 2-day rigorous training program on Export Import Documentation and Procedures at Omshree Group of Companies helping students study and understand the global aspects of a business like strategic leadership, logistics, TMQ, and supply chain management. Omshree is a government-recognized Export House with an annual turnover of ₹1400 Crores, being the 5th largest crusher of Soya in India, it currently has 6 plants in Dhule with a corporate office in Indore. The training session was conducted by Mr. Sandeep Choudhary (CCO), Mr. Shiv, and other senior staff at Omshree. The training session was instrumental in providing students with the necessary hands-on exposure to LC mechanisms and the essential documents required for global trade. The session helped students hone their problem-solving skills, broadening their scope on different perspectives of conducting business.

Basera Old Age Home | Legal Aid Camp | School of Law and Public Policy

The School of Law and Public Policy at Avantika University conducted a Legal Aid Camp at Basera Old Age Home, Dewas. Since everyone deserves to age with dignity, the camp ensures their rights are protected and their wishes are respected on the occasion of International Day of Older Persons, observed on 1st October. To protect and secure the rights, benefits, and dignity of adults aged 60 and older, the camp successfully educated the elderly residents on the legal rights and remedies, as too many older adults do not receive the legal help they need—the much-required access-to-justice. The camp provided a deeper perspective of the relevant laws, policies, and government schemes available for their welfare. In addition to the legal assistance, students engaged the elderly with cultural performances, building a sense of community and joy.

10th World Parliament of Science, Religion, and Philosophy 2024 | Educational Visit | School of Engineering

The students of the School of Engineering at Avantika University participated in the 10th World Parliament of Science, Religion, and Philosophy 2024 organized by MAEER’s MIT World Peace University at the Philosopher Saint Dnyaneshwar-Tukarama World Peace Dome, bringing together world leaders, peace advocates, spiritual thinkers, and change-makers to discuss pathways toward a more harmonious world. Throughout the conference, students had the opportunity to decipher the true meaning and relation between Science and Spirituality, the two most important aspects of human life. Students witnessed eminent speakers from diverse fields discuss highly engaging aspects of science, religion, and philosophy and how they can together serve as a boon to building a healthy and peaceful global family. During the conference, students developed a comprehensive idea of retaining our core value system for the betterment of humanity.

Ms. Anita Songara | Draping Workshop | School of Design

The Fashion Design Department of the School of Design at Avantika University recently wrapped up a 5-day Draping Workshop for its 2nd-year students. The workshop helped students practice different and unique variations of designs. Since draping is one of the oldest methods of garment construction, the workshop was mentored by the supremely talented fashion designer, Ms. Anita Songara, with years of experience in designing and draping. Throughout the workshop, Ms. Songara shared her expertise in positioning and pinning the fabric on a dress form, which is considered an essential step to get the perfect fit and shape. The 5-day hands-on workshop inspired the students to adopt innovative approaches to create designs organically.

Legal Research | Value Added Course | School of Law and Public Policy

The School of Law and Public Policy at Avantika University recently marked the successful completion of its Value Added Course on ‘Legal Research.’As building capabilities is essential for any legal student to thrive, Adv. Ashi Vaidhya, Advocate at Madhya Pradesh High Court, Indore Bench was called to chair the session. The course enhanced the law students' duty to understand the distinctions within the law and gain the capability of interpreting legal precedents. The main focus of the course was to develop legal research skills, focusing on practical methodologies, effective research techniques, and the importance of referencing and citation. Students were introduced to proper citation practices, ensuring academic integrity, and research ethics. Through activity-based learning, they engaged in tasks like drafting legal briefs, analyzing case laws, utilizing research databases, and practicing ethical standards in legal writing and referencing.

A 100-hour Value-Added Certificate Program in Banking, Finance, and Insurance (CPBFI) has been launched as its first initiative. This collaborative effort enhances students' educational experience and career prospects. The CPBFI is designed to provide knowledge of the financial services sector, to BBA and MBA students, offering a unique opportunity to gain practical skills, as per current market trends.

The students from the School of Management at Avantika University paid a visit to the Indore Talk Media Network for an insightful educational experience. During their visit, they had the opportunity to learn about the fast-paced world of real-time marketing, content creation, and digital editing. Through interactive sessions, the students gained an understanding of the current digital marketing landscape, exploring the strategies and techniques employed to create impactful content across various platforms. They learned to craft compelling narratives tailored to cater to different audiences. The students then participated in live editing sessions, where students witnessed firsthand how the concepts they had studied in theory were applied in real-world scenarios. Mudit Thakkar | Robotics Workshop | School of Engineering

The School of Engineering at Avantika University in association with Tech Fest IIT Bombay organized a "Robotics Workshop" with Mr. Mudit Thakkar, CEO of Youngovator, also known as the "Robot Man" of India. The workshop was aimed at facilitating students to understand, design and learn Robotics. The workshop successfully provided the interested students with the opportunity to express their skills, knowledge, and creativity through conceptualizing, designing, and programming robots, helping them to acquire deeper knowledge of its configurations through active exploration of real-world challenges and problems.

The School of Management at Avantika University launched a 100-hour value-added course featuring a certificate program on Banking, Finance, and Insurance (CPBFI), mentored by Bajaj Finserv. A total of 65 students from MBA and BBA Finance, along with second-year BBA students, participated. The program enhanced the student's employability by providing advanced knowledge in the banking, finance, and insurance sectors. Developed in partnership with Bajaj Finserv, the CPBFI offers practical insights and industry-relevant knowledge, aiming to improve students' career prospects in financial services. The CPBFI provided participants with a solid foundation in key concepts and practices, making them more competitive in the job market.

MIT ID Indore-Avantika University made a remarkable presence at the UX India Bangalore chapter, with an impressive participation of 30 students and alumni. Under the able guidance of Professor Emeritus Dr. Sanjay Jain and Assistant Professor Sanjay Sonwani. In an inspiring keynote, Dr. Sanjay Jain encouraged participants to transcend the conventional boundaries of theoritical design, introducing the innovative concept of "Life Experience (LX)" as an alternative to "User Experience (UX)." The innovation inspiring talk encouraged students to adapt to a more holistic approach to design. The commendable representation of the School of Design at this prestigious global UI/UX platform successfuly highlighted the talent and vision of the students at MIT ID Indore-Avantika University.

Ek Pahel | Addressing Democratic Challenges | School of Law and Public Policy

The School of Law and Public Policy at Avantika University recently hosted its flagship event, Ek Pahel, centered on the theme "Addressing Democratic Challenges: A Multi-Institutional Approach Involving Law, Media, and NGOs." This impactful event brought together experts from the legal, media, and NGO sectors, along with students of diverse fields, to engage in thought-provoking discussions aimed at strengthening democracy and upholding democratic values and institutions. The event commenced with the recitation of the preamble, followed by a welcome address from Dr. Priya Sepaha, Dean of the School of Law. In her address, she recalled the essence of democracy and its significance in our daily lives, underscoring the idea that while India is the world's largest democracy, the freedoms enjoyed by its citizens come with great responsibility. The distinguished guests for the day included Adv. Virendra Sharma, Senior Advocate of the MP High Court, and Mr. Vipul Gupta, Editor of Dainik Bhaskar, Ujjain. The event opened with a nostalgic short film showcasing the journey, achievements, and hard work that has made the School of Law a top legal institution in Indore. A captivating drama performance by the students highlighted the grim reality of domestic violence and the legal remedies available to women for relief. The event also featured engaging panel discussions, where experts and the audience deliberated on some of the most pressing challenges of our time. This visit was part of Avantika's ongoing efforts to offer students practical exposure to alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms, with a focus on Lok Adalats. These sessions are integral for students to gain deeper insight into India's judicial system, providing a faster, more cost-effective means of resolving disputes and promoting access to justice for all. During the visit, students observed firsthand how Lok Adalats operate, gaining valuable insights into their role in reducing the burden on conventional courts and facilitating amicable settlements. Avantika University, Ujjain celebrates its 8th Foundation Day

Avantika University marked a day of immense pride as it celebrated its 8th Foundation Day on 11th September 2024, a momentous occasion commemorating seven remarkable years of its inception. Standing tall and bright, the day was a tribute to every student, faculty member, and staff, to honor their efforts and contributions that have shaped Avantika into the epitome of quality education it is today. The celebrations commenced with the inauguration of Ujjain's first workplace creche, for the children of the faculties and staff, reflecting Avantika University's commitment to employee welfare and the happiness of its cherished family. This was followed by the presentation of a nostalgic video, taking everyone down memory lane, from 2017 to 2024, highlighting the challenges and triumphs that have defined Avantika's rise to prominence. Following this emotional reflection, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Nitin Rane delivered the inaugural address, graced by the presence of Shri Ashok Panwalker, former Director of Philips India, Dr. Akhilesh Pandey, Vice-Chancellor of Vikram University, Ujjain, Shripad ji Kulkarni, Project Director, and Dr. Sanjay Dhande, the esteemed Chancellor of Avantika University. In his address, Dr. Rane spoke about the significance of the number seven, deeply rooted in Indian mythology and history, symbolizing auspiciousness and growth. What began with just 150 students has now 1500+ students and 300+ staff from over 24 states. Dr. Rane also highlighted Avantika's record placement figures, numerous research publications, IPRs, and the achievement of 20+ prestigious national and international awards and accolades. The Honorable Chancellor, Dr. Sanjay Dhande, in his felicitation speech, reflected on the seven years of pride and progress, emphasizing the importance of curiosity-driven learning. Further, stressing the importance of asking questions that form an integral part of learning, necessary to fulfil curiosity and develop a keen sense of observation and experimentation. He asked everyone to learn a skill, that is how to learn a new skill. The Chief Guest and Guest of Honor later shared insightful real-life experiences. The felicitation address was followed by the introduction of Avantika University's Annual Report and the visionary 3-year Strategic Plan. The stalwarts of Avantika, its dedicated faculty and staff, were honored with prestigious awards, recognizing milestones in research excellence and their exceptional contributions to the university. The theme of the power-packed event was DISCOVER - ENGAGE - INVEST. Fashion Exhibition | School of Design

The Fashion Design Department of the School of Design at Avantika University hosted a vibrant and successful Semester-End Fashion Exhibition. The event showcased the innovative designs and creativity of students, presenting vibrant colors, luxurious fabrics, and patterns with contemporary cuts and styles. The exhibition was officially inaugurated by Ms. Garima Nahar, a renowned fashion designer from Ujjain, in the presence of the respectable Vice Chancellor, Dr. Nitin Rane, and Mr. Raghav Pandya, Dean of the School of Design. The fashion exhibition highlighted all those pieces that forms an essential part of our wardrobes. Some of the best art forms were evident through the intricate art of Indigo dyeing, a unique dye extracted from the harvested leaves of the Indigofera plant, that continues to enthrall fashion enthusiasts, even after 5000 years of its discovery. Apart from Indigo, the exhibition explored the essence of the rich cultural history of the Punjab. All fashion design faculty and students were present at the event, dressed in traditional Punjabi clothing. The exhibition featured a diverse array of styles, from sustainable to classic collections, reflecting the students' versatility and skill. The event also included interactive sessions, adding festive spirit to the atmosphere.

Reading and Analysing Case Laws | Workshop | School of Law and Public Policy

The School of Law and Public Policy at Avantika University recently organized a highly engaging and informative workshop on reading and analyzing case laws, to help students construct skills of persuasive arguments, respond to the opposing counsel, and confront legal hearings with confidence. The workshop was led by Ms. Narayani Sepaha, a legal maestro, who taught the essential skills of effectively interpreting case laws, a critical competency for aspiring legal professionals. During the workshop, Ms. Sepaha elaborated on the various components of case law and their importance in legal reasoning. She guided participants in identifying key arguments and analyzing the underlying legal principles, enhancing their analytical abilities. Students were given a hypothetical case law, where they were asked to analyze and draw conclusions. Since, lawyers have the power to defend the innocent, and ensure a fair resolution of disputes, the invaluable workshop was instrumental in providing students with practical insights into legal analysis, preparing them for their future careers in law.

The School of Law and Public Policy at Avantika University organized a Legal Aid Camp to promote cleanliness in Gondiya Village, in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority of Ujjain. Since the knowledge of how to prevent illness and maintain hygiene is not widely known in rural areas, the event featured captivating Nukkad Natak (street play) performed by students at the local government school, highlighting the importance of cleanliness, government protection schemes, and the health risks associated with waste in their vicinity. Through such interactive activities, children learn valuable hygiene and sanitation knowledge at a young age, as community hygiene is foundational to social progress. The respected Dean of the School of Law and Public Policy, Dr. Priya Sepaha addressed the attendees, emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and community responsibility.

Sanchi Milk Plant Indore | Educational Visit | School of Management

The School of Management at Avantika University recently organized an incredible educational visit to the Sanchi Milk Plant in Indore for its BBA students. The visit, expertly coordinated by Prof. Amber Tiwari, Dr. Ankur Kumar Rastogi, and Prof. Shilpi Upadhyay, offered students a unique opportunity to gain firsthand insights into the operational processes and supply chain management of one of India's premier dairy brands. During the visit, students observed the intricate stages of milk processing and distribution, which served as a practical application of their academic studies. They were able to engage with industry professionals, enhancing their understanding of the complexities involved in dairy production and the significance of cooperative societies like Sanchi in supporting local farmers. Role of design thinking in IMC | Online Session | School of Management

The School of Management at Avantika University organized an interactive and informative online session on "Role of design thinking in IMC and how it will impact consumer behaviour," as "design thinking" gained popularity after the idea expanded to business and management, rather than being solely focused on design. The session for the BBA and MBA students was led by Ms. Madhu Chanda Bose, Assistant Vice President, Social Media Marketing and Brand Manager of Explurger, that encouraged students to discover and comprehend real life problems, helping them solve and go above and beyond consumers expectations. The session formed a part of the Marketing Specialization course led by Ms.Shilpi Upadhyay.
