Yoga for Self and Society | 10th International Day of Yoga | Avantika University

Avantika University celebrated the 10th International Day of Yoga on "Yoga for Self and Society" on Friday, June 21st, 2024. The day observed the spiritual and physical prowess that Yoga brought to the world. With enormous passion and energy, all the faculties and staff at Avantika University in an attempt to to turn yoga into a global movement, emphasizing well-being and promoting global health and peace, performed Yoga on its premises. The session was led by Dr. Divya Singh, a Yoga Instructor, and an Orthopedic Physiotherapist.

NSS Wing of Avantika University observe World Against Child Labour Day

The NSS Wing of Avantika University on "World Against Child Labour Day" on Wednesday, June 12th, 2024, raised their voices against the evil practice of child labor, a subject to worry, that is still quite rampant in many parts of the world. The students of the University in a collective effort, distributed books and biscuits to the children in need, conducting teaching sessions for them, and creating awareness through posters. Every child deserves a chance to learn, grow, and enjoy their childhood free from the burden of labor. The students and Avantika University continue to raise awareness and work together to create a future where every child can pursue their dreams and live a life full of promises. Together, we can make a difference.

Students of the School of Management publishes Book "Arsh - Farsh - Arsh"

The students of the School of Management at Avantika University made the first publication of "Arsh - Farsh - Arsh", a unique yet insightful book compiled from the chapters written by the talented students of BBA 1st Year. The book took days of hard work by the students, who sat through day and night, employing creativity and intellectual knowledge to draft the content, striving to enter into the bestsellers list. The book was further enhanced by the valuable inputs from Dr. Harish Bapat, the distinguished Dean of the School of Management.

Session | Creating yourself from Person to Personality

Avantika University organized an inspirational yet informative session on "Creating Yourself from Person to Personality" for all its faculties and staff on Monday, June 3rd, 2024. The expert talk was delivered by Ms. Nishtha Thaker, MD, and Founder Trustee of Spreading Smile Charity Trust on 3rd June 2024. She gave real-life instances, of her own life, about how she met challenges all along and stood still in the face of it. She emphasized that hope and patience build you to steer clear of the darkest times. One should have the courage to let go of the things they cannot change, accepting and emerging even stronger is the best method to deal with any trouble that comes the way. No problem has the strength to scar you for your entire life, and in the end you will realize the amount of strength you've gained while reminiscing the successful journey of overcoming the struggles.

World Anti Tobacco Day

To raise awareness about the dangers of consuming tobacco and encourage individuals to quit or avoid using tobacco products, the NSS Wing of Avantika University conducted an Anti-Tobacco Day awareness program on Friday, May 31st, 2024, on what people can do to claim their right to healthy living and protect future generations from its menace. The event aimed to educate people about the life threatening risks associated with tobacco use and provide resources for those seeking to quit. 15 GIS staff members attended the program. Mr. Aditya Awasthi and Ms. Harshita Choubey delivered a keynote address on the harmful effects of tobacco, covering topics such as cancer, heart disease, and lung disease. Two individuals shared their stories of quitting tobacco, inspiring the audience with their struggles and triumphs. At the end of the event, participants took a collective pledge to stop using tobacco products, marking a commitment to a healthier lifestyle.

Expert Session | Work-Life Balance

Avantika University organized an Expert Session session on Work-Life Balance for its staff members including faculty and administrative personnel on Thursday, April 18th, 2024. The session included interactive group discussions, and practical activities designed to equip attendees with strategies for managing work responsibilities alongside personal life. Eminent Psychologist, Ms. Megha Kalchuri Solanki led the workshop focused on enhancing work-life balance. The event was aimed at addressing the benefits and importance of achieving a healthy balance between the two. Techniques such as prioritization, task batching, and the use of digital tools to enhance productivity were tailored. The work-life balance session was highly successful in providing the employees with valuable insights to improve work-life balance. The workshop delivered was well-received by everyone, indicating a clear demand for ongoing support in this area. The university plans to incorporate more such sessions in the future, reflecting its commitment to the well-being of its staff.

World Earth Day | NSS Wing | Avantika University

On the occasion of World Earth Day on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2024, the NSS Wing of Avantika University honored the achievements of the Environmental movements and marked the celebrations by conducting a Poster Presentation event for the students. The students presented wide range of creativity by creating aesthetic handmade art pieces. The event emphasized the need to protect Earth, by boycotting the use and menace caused by non-biodegradable plastic products. All the models promoted the idea of Planet Vs. Plastics, thus fostering a sense of togetherness among the students. The event aimed at developing the critical and creative thinking abilities of the students towards sustainable practices. It inculcated the need to protect Earth's natural resources for future generations.

Visit to Indore District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission | School of Law and Public Policy

Students of the School of Law and Public Policy at Avantika University had the invaluable opportunity to visit the Indore District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission, on Monday, April 15th, 2024. The educational excursion allowed the students to interact with the esteemed Judge and President of the commission, Mr. Balraj Kumar Palod. Students reviewed previously decided case files, offering them a glimpse into the intricacies of legal documentation and judicial decisions. This hands-on experience provided the students with a profound understanding of the legal processes involved in resolving consumer disputes and the critical role that the judiciary plays in enforcing consumer rights. The visit not only enriched their academic knowledge but also enhanced their practical understanding of how theoretical legal principles are applied in real-world scenarios.

Students receive Government funding | Avantika Innovation and Incubation Center (AIIC)

Avantika University with immense pride announces, that two of its students, Aditya Upadhyay and Sagar Manjhi, have been selected to receive grant assistance from AICTE and MoEs Innovation Cell through the Yukti Innovation Challenge. The student Aditya Upadhyay has been awarded a prestigious grant of Rs.7,00,000, while Sagar Manjhi received funding of Rs.4,00,000.

First runner-up | Parul University | School of Design

Students of the School of Design - Fashion Design, at Avantika University, earned the first runner-up Award at the highly competitive fashion show organized by Parul University on Friday, April 12th, 2024. The contenders for the prestigious award are Khyati Pawar, Avantika Potdar, Deepshikha Sengupta, and Doyel M. The students’ hard work, creativity, and dedication got due recognition. The students shone brightly while showcasing their exceptional talent and diverse skills in the world of fashion. The students brought their imaginations to life, they presented apparel, that mesmerized the jury, to win the title which is a dream of many. Thus, earning recognition for the sheer hard work. We congratulate them on this well-deserved achievement and look forward to seeing their continued success in the future.

The School of Design at Avantika University conducted a Screening and Student Talk on Elements of Game Design, Fundamentals of Animation 2D, and Editing and Cinematography on Thursday, March 28th, 2024. The screening captured the essence of the creative endeavors of the students. The students had put forward their work, providing insight into their days of hard work. The screening featured a selection of films, animation works, and elements of game design, offering a comprehensive glimpse into the diverse talent nurtured within the students of animation and game design programs/electives.

The School of Engineering at Avantika University organized an exhibition on Fundamental Programming Poster. The students presented posters that covered an array of programming fundamentals. The exhibition was dedicated to promoting awareness and appreciation for the foundational principles of programming like C, Python, Java programming language among enthusiasts. The collections featured informative and visually appealing posters that delved deep into algorithms, data structures, coding best practices, and problem-solving strategies. The posters effectively simplified complex programming concepts, making them accessible to individuals with varying levels of expertise. Interactive demonstrations and examples were included to instill a practical understanding of how fundamental programming principles are applied in real-world scenarios. The exhibition provided students with a multidimensional learning experience combining visual aids, conceptual reinforcement, reference material, inspiration, networking opportunities, real-world applications, and skill development.

The School of Engineering at Avantika University organized a guest lecture on IPR Commercialization on Thursday, March 28th, 2024. The session was led by Prof. Sanjay Patidar, Delhi Technological University (DTU), Delhi. Since Intellectual Property Rights Commercialization is the backbone of innovation and new ideas. The lecture encouraged students and prospective researchers to protect their interests in the field of science. The session inculcated the difference between Patents, Trademarks, Copyrights, Trade names, and Geographical Indications. The speaker explained to students the value of IP, how much legal protection it offers, the know-how, and how secret knowledge can be combined to provide a competitive advantage.

Animation Exhibition | School of Design

The School of Design at Avantika University hosted an exciting Animation Exhibition on Friday, 29th March 2024. The Exhibition was spearheaded by the students of 3rd year B.Des and M.Des course. It showcased a variety of semester projects, under the able mentorship of Ms. Yashwini Solanki. The projects ranged from animation basics to 3D CGI looks, expressing emotions through animation, designing characters, and short films. The event was graced by dignitaries and students alike, instrumental in motivating the students to excel in their fields of study.

Industrial and Educational Excursion | School of Management

The School of Management at Avantika University conducted an enriching educational excursion for the students of MBA and BBA from March 11th, 2024 to March 17th, 2024. Offering them a unique opportunity to explore key industrial and educational sites.

The industrial trip started with the visit to the Statue of Unity in Baroda, followed by explorations at Science City, Akshardham, and local markets. The highlight of the trip was the immersive experience at Mundra Port, where students had the privilege to visit Adani Solar, Adani Wind, and Adani Power Ltd.

The visit continued with the tour of the Adani Ports and SEZ, providing students valuable insights into port operations and logistics management. The trip concluded with a visit to Jindal Worldwide in Ahmedabad, where students had a firsthand look at the company's operations.

Apart from the scenic and industrial visits, the excursion served the platform for interactions with industry professionals and experts providing invaluable networking opportunities and real-world insights that will benefit them in their future careers.

Alternate Dispute Resolution Strategies Dr. Sangita Laha, an Associate Professor and former Dean at the National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi, will explore innovative strategies for resolving disputes outside of traditional court settings.

Upcycling clothes | Sustainable Fashion | School of Design

Students of the School of Design at Avantika University, in a unique yet creative initiative, recycled old sarees into elegant garments. As per students, every year a lot of sarees are discarded at home for either being out of trend or undergoing wear and tear. Realizing the importance of Sustainable fashion where consumers become more conscious of the environmental impact of the clothing industry. The students came up with the idea of repurposing old, discarded sarees into beautiful dresses. Aside from being environmentally friendly, students utilized their creative minds to design incredibly lightweight sustainable apparel, that stands out from mass-produced clothing. Sustainable dresses created from old discarded sarees are a win-win for both the environment and fashion-conscious consumers. By supporting students who prioritize sustainability and upcycling, we can all contribute to a more eco-friendly and stylish future for the fashion industry.

Student Industrial Visit | Microsoft, Gurugram

The School of Engineering at Avantika University conducted a successful industrial visit to Microsoft, Gurugram on the 16th of March 2024, for its students. During the visit, the students actively participated in the ""AI Tools for Product Designers"" event, featuring Ansh Mehra, an experienced design consultant and AI educator, and Ishani Dash, proficient in UI/UX design, AR creation, and visual design as key speakers. The students enjoyed the interactive session sharing their thoughts on AI tools used for product design. The industrial visit enhanced their understanding of AI tools and principles of product design. The session emphasized the practical applications of AI in today’s world, and how it influences our lives on a daily basis. Additionally, they introduced the concept of role delineation, and arbitrage, demonstrating how AI can redefine decision-making paradigms.
