Anant Chakradeo is the Founder Dean of MIT Institute of Design (MITID), which he successfully established and developed into one of India’s leading design schools, driven by a vision to create a hub of design excellence and innovation. He has also built and sustained international collaborations with over 25 universities and institutions worldwide, enabling student and faculty exchanges, joint research initiatives, and collaborative projects. Anant is deeply passionate about exploring new concepts and strategies in education and has authored several books and articles on design, education, and management.

As the Group Provost of the MIT Group, Anant provides academic leadership across its units, with a strong focus on enhancing academic quality, research, and outreach. He holds a PhD in Design, an ME in Production Engineering, and a BE in Mechanical Engineering, and has over 30 years of experience in higher education.

Previously, as Pro Vice-Chancellor of MIT Art, Design and Technology (MITADT) University, he led the university across key domains including academics, assessment and evaluation, accreditations, and internationalisation.

In his current role, he focuses on driving academic excellence, accreditations, internationalisation, and faculty development across two state private universities, two autonomous colleges under Savitribai Phule Pune University, and one IB school within the MIT Group.
