Student wins reflUX UI/UX Hackathon by VIT Bhopal University

Anika Bhardwaj, a student of the School of Design at Avantika University, emerged as the winner of the reflUX UI/UX Hackathon, organized by the UX Club at VIT Bhopal University, a 5-day online sprint organized to bridge the gap between UX design and technical execution. Avantika University signs Memorandum of Understanding with TheUpthrust- Carina Educations Pvt. Ltd

Avantika University has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TheUpthrust (Carina Educations Pvt. Ltd) to establish a state-of-the-art Centre of Excellence (CoE) dedicated to Game Technology, Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and other emerging technologies. Establishing this CoE is expected to yield substantial benefits for Avantika University, particularly in the research domain. This will facilitate increased research opportunities with enhanced options to receive funding in the technological arena. Enhancing Avantika University’s academic offerings, this CoE aims to provide specialized training for in-demand skills, equipping students with the knowledge for successful careers. Through hands-on experience and industry-recognized certifications, the MoU will further strengthen students' employment prospects.

Avantika University Celebrates Its 4th Convocation Ceremony

MIT Pune Campus in Ujjain, Avantika University celebrated its 4th Convocation Ceremony, Samahvan 2025 on February 8th honoring the dreams, struggles, and strength of its students who graduated with flying colors. A total 171 graduands were conferred degrees, with 10 receiving gold medals and 7 receiving silver medals. The ceremony commenced with the academic procession entering the Convocation Plaza, followed by, the honourable Chancellor of Avantika University Padma Shri Dr. Sanjay Dhande, formally declaring the ceremony open. In his welcome address, Dr. Dhande congratulated the graduands and wished them success in both their professional and personal lives. He encouraged them to carve their own paths while always cherishing their alma mater. The Chief Guest for Samahvan 2025 were Dr. G. D. Yadav (Padma Shri Awardee, Govt. of India), National Science Chair, Bhatnagar Fellow, and Former Vice-Chancellor of the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. Joined by Special Guests Shri Narendra Ghate, Senior Vice President & Head of Design at HDFC Bank Ltd., and Shri Subbaraman Balasubramanyan, Senior Vice President at HCL Technologies Ltd., adding to the occasion's prestige. Vice Chancellor Dr. Nitin Rane expressed his gratitude to the parents for entrusting Avantika University with the responsibility of shaping their children's futures. He then highlighted the university's pioneering achievements over the past seven years. Emphasizing that the graduands are future leaders, he extended his best wishes for their success. The chief guests shared insights from their illustrious careers, advising students to embrace continuous learning rather than confining themselves to a single skill. Following this, the graduands took the Convocation oath, led by the Honorable Chancellor, after which medals and degrees were awarded to the students.

Avantika University Hosts Alumni Meet, Abhyudaya

Avantika University organized Abhyudaya, an alumni meet that brought together students and graduates from previous batches to reconnect, network, and celebrate their shared journey. The event commenced with the MIT Peace Prayer, followed by a warm welcome address from the Honorable Chancellor of Avantika University, Dr. Nitin Rane. In his speech, Dr. Rane inspired the alumni by sharing relatable examples from everyday life. He referenced iconic figures like Picasso, as well as a memorable India vs. Australia cricket match, emphasizing that consistent practice and continuous learning are the ultimate keys to success. He extended his best wishes to the alumni for their future endeavors. The Registrar, Dr. Manesh Patil, expressed immense pride in the alumni, calling them Avantika University's greatest asset. He acknowledged them as true ambassadors carrying forward the Avantika's legacy and making the institution proud. Following this, Abhyudaya featured an insightful panel discussion with industry stalwarts Konark Ashara, Design Leader, Design & Experience Practice, UST; Kapil Joshi, Head of Experience Design Practice, Capgemini; Sandeep Pandey, HR Leader, Rakuten Symphony. Led by Dr. Sanjay Jain, the discussion revolved around the importance of understanding problems and creating effective solutions, spanning across all business domains. The guests highlighted that a designer's role is to simplify processes and enhance user experiences. They also noted a significant shift in learning approaches, from the traditional method of, studying first and then applying, to the modern approach of learning by doing. They encouraged the alumni to embrace experimentation as a means of growth and to stay aware of evolving industry trends, including AI, content creation, and legal aspects of design. The panel discussion concluded on an intellectually stimulating note, after which the alumni enjoyed cultural performances and celebrated their reunion with enthusiasm.
