Malvika Mazumdar is a multidisciplinary visual artist with a strong academic foundation and a passion for cultural storytelling. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from MIT ADT University, Pune, and a Master’s degree in Visual Arts from Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, College of Fine Arts, Bengaluru, where she graduated at the top of her class. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Design, expanding her research into the intersections of traditional art and contemporary visual culture. Malvika’s practice is driven by a deep curiosity and a commitment to creative exploration. Her work reflects a refined balance between conceptual clarity and aesthetic sophistication. With a keen interest in applied arts, visual culture, and traditional Indian crafts, she brings a research-led approach to both academic and studio practice. Throughout her academic and professional journey, Malvika has consistently pushed the boundaries of visual expression, merging theory with practice and tradition with innovation. She is particularly inspired by indigenous art forms and is deeply invested in preserving their cultural relevance through contemporary visual narratives.
