Priya Sepaha

Professor and Dean

Priya has a Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Law, Post Graduate degree (M.A.) in English, M.Phil. (English), and an Undergraduate Bachelor's degree LLB, LLM in (Criminal Law). She has worked extensively in Criminology, Penology, Criminal Law, Personal Law, and Contemporary issues. She is the Founder and Director of Law Colloquy, a registered organization, and fast-growing legal platform created for legal awareness.

She is a member of the International Society of Therapeutic Jurisprudence, USA, and a member of the International Society of Criminology. She is also a Senior Peer Reviewer and member of the Editorial Board on Arts, Management, and Social Sciences in various national and international journals, notably in India, Japan, UAE, and the United States.

She is a passionate writer who writes on various aspects of Criminal Law, Criminology, Penology, and Victimology. She has written six books and many articles in multiple National and International Journals. She has presented papers at many National and International Conferences, distinctively at Harvard (United States), Oxford (United Kingdom), Cambridge (United Kingdom), Brighton (United Kingdom), Singapore, Bangkok, Khon Kaen University (Thailand), Doha (Qatar), Tokyo (Japan), and India.

She had the distinction of being the Keynote Speaker at the International Conference held at Cambridge. She was a panelist at a conference at the Harvard Law School, (USA). She has also chaired the International Conferences sessions held in India, Oxford, Cambridge, Tokyo, and Bangkok. She was adjudged as 'The Best Presenter' at the International Conference held in Singapore and received the 'Best Paper Award' at the International Research Conference, Tokyo. She has been a resource person in more than thirty-plus Conferences/FDP/ workshops/seminars/webinars.

She was awarded Swami Vivekananda Excellence Award 2017 in the field of "Academic Administration" by the World's Achiever's Foundation and the Confederation of Indian Universities, Delhi. She was awarded "Environment Protection and Development 2017" by the Scientific and Environment Research Institute at the "World Clean Environment Congress 2017". She was awarded the "National Teaching Excellence Award 2017" from International Benevolent Research Foundation and "Indian Education Award, 2019" in the field of "Research in Education" and "the Excellent Researcher Award (Female)" by International Academic and Research Excellence Award (IARE-2019).

She was also awarded the "Women Icon of the Year" award in the International Inspirational Women Awards, 2020. Additionally, she was honored with the "Edupreneur Director of the Year" 2021 award by the International Education award and presented with the Madhya Pradesh Gaurav Samman 2022.

An additional amount of rupees 10,000 is payable as a security deposit during admission. This amount shall be refundable on completion of the academic program.

The Hostel facility is available on first-come-first-served basis. Hostel and Mess facility is available on the campus at an additional cost. The hostel facility shall be Twin Non-AC accommodation. The mess facility shall include Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Snacks and Dinner.

Loan

Students Loan facility will be available to the students securing admission to the university. Disbursement of the loan is as per the banks' terms and conditions.

Refund Policy

Avantika University will cancel an Admission only if the student fails to meet the Entry Requirements. The complete fees will be refunded within 15 days of cancellation of admission.

A student opting to withdraw his/her admission will be entitled to the refund of fees as detailed:
