Animation and Game Design

With a remarkable career spanning over a decade, Mr. Salil Upadhyay is an expert in the fields of animation, game art, and 3D technology. Holding a degree in Animation and Multimedia and a postgraduate degree in Game Design, he is a Unreal Authorized Instructor. He honed a rare and highly specialized skill set that includes Modeling, Texturing, Rigging, Animation, Lighting, and much more, making him a true master of his craft. Throughout his career, he has developed a deep proficiency with an array of leading industry software tools that are integral to the creative process, including Substance Painter, Autodesk MAYA, Autodesk 3Ds Max, Quixel Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Marmoset Toolbag, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Unreal Engine and ZBrush.His knowledge of game art principles, combined with an understanding of visual effects (VFX) and Virtual reality (AR/VR), enables him to bridge the gap between the creative and technical aspects of the industry. A dedicated educator, he has enriched the academic landscape by teaching and mentoring students in the gaming, animation, VFX, and AR/VR industries. His approach to teaching is holistic, incorporating both theoretical aspects and hands-on practical experience, ensuring that his students are adept at using the trending tech. His contributions as a faculty extend far beyond the classroom, as he has led and organized numerous workshops across India, in areas such as Xgen, 3D Motion Graphics, Mocap, Bullet Physics, Bifrost, Bi/Quadruped rig Cycles, and Car Rigging. He has authored several insightful articles offering a nuanced perspective on how interactive media shapes culture, entertainment, and even education. His deep understanding of the socio-cultural influence of gaming, combined with his technical expertise, positions him as a forward-thinking educator and industry expert.
