Students successfully completed Pranpur Renovation Project Phase 1

Tuesday 8th of August 2023

40 Design students from the University have successfully completed phase one of the Pranpur Renovation Project. The students who worked under the guidance of faculty members and workshop assistants have beautified the walls of weavers' houses in the Pranpur village of Chanderi city in Madhya Pradesh. The students carved designs of Chanderi sarees outside the weavers' homes and branded Chanderi Sarees.

The students were accompanied by faculty members consisting of Siddharth Raje, Shreya Jakhar, Amar Mithapalli, Manjari Kanungo, and Mohit Rajora, who led the students and guided them on the creativity and qualitative work.

This project will prove to be a milestone for the University and provide a hands-on opportunity to enrich the learning experience for the students. The tourism department is promoting student work to make Pranpur a tourist place. Chanderi sarees' popularity, the place's historical importance, and the thousands of tourists visiting Pranpur every year are the reasons for promoting Pranpur as a tourist place.
