The orientation program for welcoming the new batch was conducted virtually. An interactive workshop session on the theme of ‘How Can You Make it Better’ was conducted by Sanjay Jain, Faculty - School of Design. The students were supposed to pick out the things/ objects that are not self-used, but preferably used by family members or neighbors. The process involved; selecting an object, thinking for an hour as well as approaching the user, understanding the area of use, and finding how to make it better. After an hour, the student should present in terms of feasible modifications in it. In this context, students came with different things like the safety pin, coffee mug, oximeter etc. The workshop gave the students to empathize with the end user’s requirement and suitably apply their thoughts for its best use
