The University organized an inaugural session during Aarambh 2023, the Orientation Program for the School of Engineering and the School of Management, on 01st August 2023. The Orientation Program began with the recital of the MIT World Peace Prayer.
The Chief Guest for the inaugural session was Prof. Pawan Kumar Singh, Director, IIM Trichy. He started the session by sharing his life journey and told he always wanted to be a teacher. He highlighted the difference between listening to your heart and mind and focused on taking work as play to enjoy it, not as a burden.
Prof. Pawan explained learning and divided it into four phases of 25% each. He detailed each phase viz. classroom interaction, peer group interaction, self-study, and experience by observing others and yourself and concluded the session.
He was felicitated by Prof. Harish Bapat, Dean, School of Management at Avantika University.The Guest of Honor for the inaugural session was Mr. Avinash Kashyap, Director, Indo German Networking, Kramer & Partner GbR. He started the session by quoting, ‘We live in a VUCA world’, and then explained the meaning of VUCA, that stands for Volatile, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity. He urged the students to focus on the hands-on learning concept and put it to practical use. He added about imbibing multidisciplinary and multidimensional skill sets within yourself.
Mr. Avinash explained how an individual’s efficiency depends on the environment. He concluded the session by urging everyone not to compare with others but with your previous version.
