Rajendra Singh – The Waterman of India visited MIT ID Ujjain Avantika University to address the students, faculty, staff, school principals, and other guests from the Ujjain district. He was the guest of honor for the inaugural event of ‘Avantika Samagati’.

Mr. Singh shared his nuggets on water conservation and learn from his learnings of 35 years of the same. “We are gradually moving towards disaster as the water bodies are being demolished in the name of development. River health and human health are reciprocal. If such is the status of the rivers and water bodies, what would be the future. Nature and human lives should be equally respected. People should be apprehensive and safeguard the water bodies near them in order to assure a bright future,” Singh said.

While discussing water conservation with the sarpanch of nearby villages Singh pledged his support for water conservation and better rejuvenation of groundwater resources. He then interacted with the students and answered their questions.
