Sagar Manjhi, a second-year BTech student of Avantika University registered his design (Design No. 373309-001) for the "Panipuri Piercing Machine" to the Indian Patent Office. The published design is an outcome of the course project on the course "Design Methodology" for BTech students.

The course was conducted by Kaliprasad Mahapatro, Assistant Professor – School of Engineering, and Varun Tiwari, Associate Professor – School of Design. The successful project was also completed under the abled guidance and mentorship of the above two faculties.
