ADI AVANTIKA STUDENT CHAPTER hosted a preliminary mock jury for first-year students at the School of Design on October 31, 2023. In the constantly evolving realm of design, budding creative minds require guidance and hands-on experience to refine their skills. The recently conducted mock jury proved to be a thought-provoking and illuminating event for these first-year design students. While the experience was a rollercoaster of emotions, it ultimately provided these students with valuable insights into the world of juried evaluations, helping them acknowledge the importance of such experiences and how to conquer the apprehension of their inaugural jury presentation. Alpi Jain, a Design Mentor, Architect, and Product Designer from the School of Planning, served as the guest faculty for the session. Guided by distinguished ADI faculty members Prof. Mohit Rajora and Prof. Kapil Sharma with the Support of Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Pramod Riswadkar for the glimpse that turned into the lesson of understanding and empathy.
