A master's degree in liberal arts is an interdisciplinary program that offers learners a breadth of knowledge in philosophy, art, mathematics, the social sciences, and the natural sciences. MA is a 2 year postgraduate degree program that focuses to improve creative, critical and analytical thinking skill of a student.
The track is unique for every specialization with an option of the cross-disciplinary interface and provides the breadth and depth of knowledge needed for the specialization. Based on their learning and interest, the students will design and execute projects by translating the research and insights to create meaningful outcomes from their coursework.
The Industry Internship, common for all the disciplines, is an integral component of this experience, which will enable the learner to practice the learnings. The learner will involve working in small groups to complete one or more guided practicum projects, culminating in a cross-disciplinary, immersive, Capstone Project based on a real-life problem pursued either in industry or university.
The Avantika curriculum emphasizes transferable skills while strengthening students’ technical aptitude that enables them to thrive in the work environment of today and tomorrow.
The Masters in User Experience Design will prepare a student to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams to design, develop, and evaluate digital products and services (across a range of platforms and technologies) in diverse sectors — the sciences, healthcare, finance, automotive, retail, media, arts, communication, design education and research, and consulting.
The students may work for a Fortune 500 company, a start-up, plan to pursue a design research career, or choose to be self-employed. Some students study User Experience Design simply because they like it and enjoy the challenge, and that may be the best reason of all!
Here is a list of professional roles that the students land up into after they complete the program:
The career paths listed are typical for the program but not comprehensive — there are many great options, and the students take a proactive and innovative approach to build career paths as they progress with the program.
