The NSS wing of the University and Dhanvantari (University Health Centre) organized a virtual session on World Lung Cancer Day on 1st August 2023. The eminent speaker for the session was Dr. Vikas Uthra, MBBS, CTCD, DNB (Allergy, Heart, and Sleep Disease Specialist).

The session was organized to raise awareness and defeat the stigma associated with the disease. This year, the theme of World Lung Cancer Day is “A breath of prevention is better than expectation of long-term survival”. The speaker shared insights on the causes and risk factors of the disease. He encouraged everyone to follow a healthy lifestyle and urged them to eat healthy and exercise daily.

The session was coordinated by Varsha William, Nurse, Dhanvantari (University Health Centre) and Dr. Gaurav Bagra, University Event Coordinator.
