With the advent of creating a progressive and design thinking oriented course curriculum, team Avantika is exploring partnership and exchange program opportunities with Royal College of Art, United Kingdom.

Professor Sanjay Jain, Director – Design Education and Professor Prasheel Suryavanshi, Project Director from team Avantika met senior members from the creative and design department of the college. The discussion focused on exploring joint partnerships, between faculties, administrators, and alumni towards engaging in a wide range of initiatives where Royal College of Art can advise Avantika University team to develop a unique academic model which offers a broadened world-view, and also recommends infrastructure requirements in admissions, development, student and faculty affairs.

Additionally, the key driver for this discussion was the interest from both the wings to work on several research and innovation projects in future. The teams will meet again to finalize the framework and eventually start working together.

Team Avantika presented their foundation program and learning pedagogy which is unbound by convention. The team met with Professor Pradeep Sharma, Provost and Chief Academic Officer, RISD Global Partners and Programs. Prof. Sharma was quite elated about the concept and opined that a culture shift from ‘me’ to ‘we’ from school culture, along with the spirit of collaboration for the foundation program is a vital requirement.
