The highlight of the orientation program for welcoming the new batch was the introductory lecture by Satish Gokhale. Satish is a veteran of the design industry and is a recipient of several local and international awards. In his address to the students he shared his insights about design, how design should be for mass production, and how it should be beneficial for society. He added about the problem-solving approach, and perception to design Additionally, he mentioned his venture Design Directions and described various products designed by the company. The products designed and developed by his company were also exhibited and the design process was also elucidated.
