Dr. Prasheel Suryawanshi, Project Director and Prof. Sanjay Jain, Director – Design Education from Team Avantika showcased the unique academic pedagogy of Avantika University to the senior members of Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) - one of the top five Art and Design schools globally.

RISD is one of the oldest and best-known colleges of Art and Design in the U.S. The institution offers rigorous programs for bachelors and masters in 19 majors, including Architecture, Design, Fine Arts and Art Education.

Team Avantika presented their foundation program and learning pedagogy which is unbound by convention. The team met with Professor Pradeep Sharma, Provost and Chief Academic Officer, RISD Global Partners and Programs. Prof. Sharma was quite elated about the concept and opined that a culture shift from ‘me’ to ‘we’ from school culture, along with the spirit of collaboration for the foundation program is a vital requirement.

The team also visited+B1 the RISD Museum and their fascinating Nature Lab to learn and explore the inspiring work conducted in the field of Nature-Culture-Sustainability.
