The second-and third-year students from BDes Industrial Design visited the Centre for Research and Industrial Staff Performance (CRISP), Bhopal, on 7th July 2023. The students were accompanied by Varun Tiwari, Associate Professor at the School of Design; Raghav Pandya, Professor at the School of Design; Dhananjay Hirwey, Workshop Instructor; and Deepesh Vishwakarma, Workshop Assistant.

The students saw various facilities/machines in Tool Room & Training cum Production Center (TcPC) available there. Some machines/facilities that the students saw included CAD/CAM Designing center, Conventional & CNC machines, EDM wire cut, and CMM. The students also gained exposure to the latest technology used in Volkswagen cars, pneumatic and hydraulics, Wiring Harnesses for Automobiles, and CAD Automation in various software.

The purpose of the field visit was to help the students to connect better with the materials, technology, and manufacturing processes.
