With the objective of leveraging the extensive network of Design Management Institute (DMI), Professor Sanjay Jain, Director – Design Education and Dr. Prasheel Suryawanshi, Project Director from Team Avantika met with Ms. Carole Bilson, President of DMI, to present and get comments on the unique academic model that will be implemented at Avantika University.

The focus of this visit was about exploring and understanding the problem solving approach implemented by DMI while imparting a design mode of learning. Team Avantika spent significant time to comprehend the education model perfected by DMI over the past 40 years. The meeting also focused on understanding DMI’s expertise to conduct expert workshops.

Team Avantika and DMI shared their willingness to participate and collaborate on future initiatives, including workshops, conferences and faculty exchange programs.
