The 75th Independence Day was celebrated at Avantika University, the MIT Pune Campus in Ujjain. This was the first instance when final year students hoisted the National Flag. The General Secretary of the Student Council, Mayanak Soni and the Mess Secretary, Aditya Upadhaya hoisted the Tricolour which was followed by the National Anthem. Prasheel Suryawanshi, Vice Chancellor, Avantika University, Manesh Patil, Registrar, Avantika University conveyed their wishes to all the staff, students and faculty members of the University. Other dignitaries that were present on the podium included Satyajeet Pangaonkar - Dean of Student Affairs and Sukanta Kundu - Dean School of Design.
