Avantika University confers degrees to 135 students at the First Convocation

Avantika University – The MIT Pune Campus at Ujjain observed its First Convocation Ceremony Samahvan on 24th March 2022. The event was graced by the Hon. Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Mangubhai Patel, Hon. Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Mohan Yadav, and the distinguished guest was Prof. Akhilesh Kumar Pandey, Vice-Chancellor Vikram University, Ujjain.

The Convocation began after the Hon’ble Chancellor of the University Dr. Sanjay Dhande declared the convocation open.

The Hon. Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Mangubhai Patel delivered the presidential address. Addressing the convocation, he mentioned the atmosphere of all universities should be such that it helps in providing healthy competition to its students and also gives opportunity to the youth to excel in various talents.

This year 78 BDes students, 35 MDes students, and 22 BTech students graduated. The toppers of the batch from respective programs were awarded gold and silver medals and received their degrees from the Governor.

Higher education Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, while addressing the convocation ceremony said that the society of India knew the importance of education 5000 years ago and gave importance to it. Lord Krishna himself came to Ujjaini to receive education. He said that a Ganga has emerged from the Himalayas and an effort has been made by MIT Group Pune to take out a Ganga from Ujjain. He appreciated the vision, mission, and goals of the MIT Group and Avantika University.

Prof. Akhilesh Kumar Pandey delivered the convocation address. In his captivating address, the Vice-Chancellor of Vikram University emphasized the contribution of learned youth in the self-reliant India movement. He also praised the university for its world-class infrastructure and dynamic curriculum.

The ceremony ended after the Chancellor – Avantika University announced the closing of the Convocation of 2022 followed by the National Anthem.
