29^th Aug 2020, Saturday, Sameer Chavan, the Head of Design / Senior Director at Flipkart, talked about designing the portfolios in the spark talk. He is a passionate Industrial Designer, UX Strategist & Digital Experience Leader with 20yrs of Industry experience. Sameer Chavan articulated about the students’ portfolio and hinged around the job description mentioned. He emphasized molding portfolios for different companies to help one present better. Later he added that there is a need to be a determined hierarchy in work to ascertain which one pertains to the company in consideration. As an introduction helps recruiters to better understand the candidate. While laying importance on research, empathy mapping, and diversifying works to show the breadth of one’s understanding, he also mentioned that quality is more important than quantity, and it is of utmost importance, to be honest.
