In the session Traditional Textiles and Craft, Avantika University welcomed the renowned weaver of the Baluchar and Banarsi Sarees in Banars Naseem Ahmed. Naseem Ahmed is known for the recreation of the baluchar on the Jala Loom, Hand Weaving, Silk Dying, Naksha Bandi, Designing, and Graph Making. His multi dexterous approach has made him an expert in the world of design and textile.

Naseem Ahmed rendered the insights of the process, work ethic, and understanding of the baluchar weaving tradition with the fashion faculty Rupal Joshi. He took students on a visual journey of revising this traditional, artistic and cultural practice of 28 years. In sum, the session was engaging, and the key takeaways on tradition, fashion, and the art of hand-weaving.
