The FACE of Design - Rohit Koul

In the session by Rohit Koul, a Product Designer from KPMG India students got to know how can one judge design using the FACE framework. He simplified it by saying we judge any product by its FACE just like we judge people, where ‘F’ is functionality, ‘A’ the aesthetics, ‘C’ is commerciality and ‘E’ is the emotional experience from the product. He explained this using several examples like that of MRI scanner’s experience enhancement, Coca-cola’s tag line, sugarcane juicer’s bell and many more. His way of decoding and judging a product helped the students understand products in a better manner.
