Kedar Nimkar is the Founder of Audiogyan. He is currently heading the design team at Jupiter (Neobank). He was the Head of Design at BookMyShow and Cleartrip. He delivered an iConnect session where students got to learn about the recruitment process and the significance of the portfolio. He is a design leader who focuses on mentoring and building design teams, partnering with businesses, and delivering compelling user experiences for brands and products that he works for. He elaborated the recruitment process that generally follows either step of phone screening, on-site/ phone interview, portfolio review, product/ design critique, or mostly checking evaluation skill on the pain points, the algorithm of a product, and a design exercise. He explained that there are several layers to make a better portfolio and hustling for bringing perfection is the key. The STAR framework of a portfolio should be used to simplify the process.
