The Photography course exhibition led by Shreya Jakhar and guided by Rupesh Gajbhiye aimed to showcase student work. The course exhibition was conducted by the 2nd year students of Communication Design. The exhibition featured some of the captivating photos taken by the students. The course was an intermediate-level course that began with a brief introduction to the history of photography and its advancement with time. Further, it facilitated interactive sessions covering the technical aspects of photography (exposure triangle, composition rules, and light in image-making) and the functioning of a DSLR camera. The course was concluded with the product-based concept shoot and still life with the application of studio lighting. The concept shoot was transformed into an advertising campaign poster whereas the still-life section emphasized the organic form exploration in the photography studio. The main idea behind the course was to impart an understanding of the photographic medium and how it can be used as a powerful tool for communicating concepts.
