This iConnect session graced by Dr. Anbu Rathinavel was on understanding the theories and notions of Design Thinking. Dr. Anbu is the Head of the School of Design Thinking as well as the Chief Design Officer of Intellect Design Arena Ltd. – a FinTech company based out of Chennai. He discussed the importance of Design in the aspects of the customers' future problems. He emphasized the role of Design for the users’ needs along with considering the technical requirements and its implication. Elements of a great design include simplicity, observations of experience, frictionless process, efficiency, complexity reduction, and most importantly it should question an assumption. His simple and relevant examples aided in understanding design thinking.
