What are the career opportunities for design students in the Social Impact sector? The session aimed to provide valuable insights into the emerging career opportunities in the social impact sector. Speakers were Rhea Miranda, Social Finance Analyst at British Asian Trust, Shivam Shukla, and Ayushi Biyani, the Founders of Impact Connect. They demonstrated how the social sector gets matured in terms of funding, researching, planning, fund collections, and implementation. Designers from all domains either Communication, Industrial, or UI/UX can contribute to creating a nudge and building systems to solve problems. Since a designer’s job is to solve problems, designers must participate in this sector. Yet, making a career in it must be an informed decision. One must be able to spot the problem and empathize rather than just sympathize, to bring the change.
