Lysandre Follet, the Computational Design Director of Innovation at Nike, United States, briefed students about Computational Design in an iConnect session,6^th Feb’ 21. Lysandre Follet also founded companies like MiniGorille and Jadoo. He is an enthusiastic orator and the winner of the Design awards and Gold Prize 2008. He addressed how technology can be used to its fullest by thinking of means to increase productivity rather than treating it merely as a tool. It should be adapted to create better rather than considering it as a threat. As Industrial Design is moving from designing for average to designing for a batch of one, we should build algorithms to make manufacturing more agile.
