Workshop | Exploring Real World Design with Manik Arora | 29th March’19
The students explored the realms of real-world designing in a workshop conducted by Manik Arora; Co- founder of the design studio – ‘One Thing’ on 29th March, 2019. Manik is a Mechanical Engineer who ventured into the field of design in the year 2014 with his studio and since, has worked with major companies like Paytm, PVR, TATA and many more, designing real-world UI and UX solutions. The workshop conducted by him emphasized on providing the students with a bridge between the “Theoritical” design and the ‘Real-world’ design. They were made to understand the key steps towards physically getting their product into being; from understanding the user, to setting the expectations from both the ends and in-turn convincing the user/ client to purchase the idea. The workshop further led towards prototyping an app in the real-world environment to give hands-on training about the process, the do’s and don’ts, and client dealership.
