Project Showcase | Model Making | 4th Feb’19
The course on Model Making was led by Chiranjib Narzary along with faculty members Mukund Jethva, Krishnakant Pal and Pallavi Nath. The aim of the course was to develop hands-on material handling skills in the young learners encouraging them to think in 3D and inculcate model-making expertise. The course introduced the students to material like Paper, PoP and Thermocol. Students explored Platonic and Archimedean solids in paper which helped them build skills of construction, accurate measurements, finishing, radii manipulation and form transition from one shape to another in a rhythmic way. Further, the course led the students to modify existing products using their knowledge of form development and learnt how these skills can transform a product into a magnificent a piece of art.
