Course Work | Kinematics | 1st Feb’19
The course on Kinematics was led by Dr. Varun Tiwari with the objective to introduce the necessary elements of mechanisms, their mobility and functionality using kinematics. The course aimed at stimulating skills for kinematic analysis of machine elements like mechanisms, linkages, cams, pulleys, belt drive and gears etc. Introducing details about link, kinematic pairs, degree of freedom, velocity analysis of mechanisms etc., the students learnt different mechanisms for studying motion of machines and their components as well as developed simulation of various mechanisms using CAD software packages. The students developed and prototyped Stamping and Scissor Mechanism by hands-on applying their learnings of this course.
