The course on programming for engineers is a foundation course which aims at providing a clean and thorough application of programming, essential for engineering students. Under the guidance of the faculty members Dr. Dhirendra Sharma, Dr. Varun Tiwari, Reshma Chavan and Rushikesh Pawar, the students learnt the basic concepts as per their domains to apply programming to solve real-world problems.
The CSE students learnt hands-on application of object-oriented programming in C++ where they practiced solving real-time problems by aiming to provide more security and code reusability. The course brushed their logical-thinking skills, taught application of software based concepts and helped them understand the scientific and industrial use of programming for application development. The students designed various games such as escape plan, Tic Tac Toe, Patterns, Magic of 9 etc and applications such as an interface to launch satellite at mars, keep track of printing at computer center, application to solve mathematical equations and inventory management at super market, and many more.
The ME students learnt hands-on application of 2D drafting and 3D modelling by the use of software packages like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo and Fusion 360 and drew projections of real time machine parts and components in CAD environment. The students brushed their logical- thinking abilities, understood the application of software based concepts and acquired skills to visualize and communicate various details of 3D objects with engineering community. They made orthographic and isometric projections of instruments like Hammer, Screw driver, Saw, Wrench etc followed by making 2D models in AUTO CAD and 3D models in SolidWorks and Fusion 360.
