Eligibility
Open to students, academicians, research scholars in Law, Public Policy, Humanities and Management.
Abstract:
The manuscripts must have an abstract up to 300 words. The abstract must outline the core theme or research question.
Word Limit & Submission Types:
- Articles: 5,000 – 8,000 words
- Case Comments: 2,000 – 4,000 words
- Book Reviews: up to 1,500 words
- Only one submission per author at a time
Authorship:
- Maximum of two authors (one co-author allowed).
- Submissions with more than two authors will be disqualified.
FORMATTING GUIDELINES:
The File Format must be MS Word (.doc or .docx). Futher, the submission must be formatted according to the following specifications:
Headings
Headings and subheadings should be in bold and capital.
Font size should be 12 and Font should be Times New Roman.
Body of the Manuscript
The submission must be in word format and font in Times New Roman. The main text should be in font size 12. A line spacing of 1.5 should be followed for the main text. All text should be justified.
References
Footnotes should be mentioned with single line spacing. Endnotes will be disregarded. References can be mentioned at the end of the manuscript. ILI Citation or a format specified in each call for papers to be followed.
AUTHORSHIP:
A maximum of one co-author is allowed. Submissions with more than two authors will be disqualified.
PLAGIARISM POLICY:
All the submissions submitted for the publication to Avantika Public Policy and Law Review must be plagiarism free. Use of more than 10% of plagiarized content will make the submission of Manuscript, Case comment or Book Review, subject to disqualification. We may use any software to find out the plagiarism. But it is the duty of the contributors to assure the originality before the submission. Our editors review the content before it gets published.
NOTE: Avantika Public Policy and Law Review shall not be liable for any plagiarism or copyright claim.
COPYRIGHT LICENSING AGREEMENT:
All the submissions selected for publication in Avantika Public Policy and Law Review are bound to enter into a copyright licensing agreement with Avantika Public Policy and Law Review. The said agreement will be transferring certain rights in favour of Avantika Public Policy and Law Review. We will be sending a soft copy of the said agreement to the shortlisted submissions and they have to take a print out and then they have to make declaration to that effect and email us a scanned copy of the said agreement along with the manuscript and short bio-data, soft copy of passport size photo of the contributors at - pplr@avantika.edu.in
NOTE: Copyright over the published manuscripts shall vest with Avantika Public Policy and Law Review.
REVIEW PROCESS:
All manuscripts are considered to be confidential and are reviewed by members of the Editorial Board, and Qualified Reviewers. Avantika Public Policy and Law Review follows the ‘Double-Blind Peer Review Policy. All the manuscripts have to go through a process which consists of plagiarism check, grammar check, footnote check and compliance with the submission guidelines. We request the contributors to double-check their work before submitting.
If the manuscripts pass the above-mentioned process then it is forwarded to our editorial board member or peer reviewer. Reviews of the manuscripts are normally completed within a week from receipt of the manuscripts and the corresponding author will be notified of the editor’s/ peer reviewer decision to accept, reject, or require revision. When requested for revision, authors must submit the revised version within 5 days, if the revised version is not submitted within the time the submission will be considered as withdrawn and any revised version will be considered as a new submission.
The revised version has to be submitted at pplr@avantika.edu.in. In case Avantika Public Policy and Law Review receives more than one paper on the same topic then preference will be given to the best content and other paper(s) will be rejected.
Notification of Acceptance: Once a decision has been made on a manuscript, the corresponding author will be notified. If the manuscript is accepted, it will be entered into the publication system and the corresponding author will receive an acknowledgement letter accompanied by a copyright licensing agreement form and a request to pay the publication fees.
HOW TO SUBMIT:
Submissions should be mailed to pplr@avantika.edu.in in MS Word doc. or docx. Format, with the subject of the mail as “Submission of Manuscript/ Case Comment/ Book Review”
NOTE: Any submission in PDF or other formats or hard copy will not be accepted.
The body of the email must contain the soft copy of the passport photo of the author(s), name of the author(s), contact number, academic year (if applicable), qualifications (if applicable), title of the manuscript and any other details if applicable.
