Avantika Bags the first position at NASSCOM Design4India Awards 2019


Avantika University wins the first position at NASSCOM Design4India Awards 2019 in the Immersive Design category. The students who represented the university and penned their names as the winners of the prestigious award were Arnav Agrawal, Atharva Dahotre, Rudrik Marathe and Abhinav Narayan. The other participants of the event were renowned institutions like the NID and Pearl academy.

The competition required students to design an innovative solution to solve a social problem. Being the youngsters of the 21st Century, they identified the major problem consuming a significant part of the population – Slouching in front of screens and ignoring their physical fitness. The students designed a fitness-entertainment app known as SPREE using Augmented Reality (AR) as the base. The App included three games - Groove step (walking and running), dodge ball (agility) and ropewalk (concentration). All the games aimed at nudging users towards fitness whilst giving them a sense of entertainment. The student’s work got highly appreciated which motivated them to set higher benchmarks for themselves in the future.

Nomination as finalists at NASSCOM Design4India Awards 2018


The students of Avantika University namely Hetvi Shah, Avantika Kulkarni, Vibhuty Gaggar and Mrunal Deshpande got nominated as finalists in the NASSCOM Design4India Design Awards 2018 in Bangalore. The program aimed to spur innovation with a focus on technology product design that is simple yet builds a powerful product and exemplifies experience Design. The students participated in the category of designing a mobile app with the aim to provide supreme experience and quality which would add value to life through Mobile Technologies. In their exemplary work, the students designed ‘Blood Xs’, an application based interface to solve the issue of blood wastage due to expiration of shelf life. It was a B2B platform that connected the blood banks and hospitals. Their aim was to make blood the kind of commodity that can be ordered and delivered. The students work got highly appreciated and their nomination as finalists in the category was a proud moment for all.

NASSCOM Design4India Summit 2018


Avantika University participated in the NASSCOM Design4India Summit 2018 in Bangalore. The summit was a confluence of discussions where topics like Inclusive design, Immersive experience, Artificial Intelligence were discussed. The summit was graced with leaders and delegates from around the globe who had elaborate dialogue on how these emerging technologies will act as a catalyst for disruptive business models and new user experiences. 10 of the Avantika students participated as volunteers and helped in the smooth execution of summit and also earned valuable experience from the same.
