Avantika University bags the second position at YUJ UXplorer Design Awards 2019. The Students who represented the university in the YUJ Designs organized competition were Soham Mohanty, Shantanu Thorat and Balgovind Shanbhag from 3rd year B.Des Industrial Design.
Under the theme, 360° Experience Design, the students were given a platform to exhibit their elegant, human-centred product ideas. The competition required students to come up with ideas that focus on the quality of user experience going beyond visual interfaces. The competition was all about integrating all aspects of the ecosystem to provide holistic solutions and long-term strategies for any business, social or economic problem.
The students identified fuel theft as a major issue in the oil industry and designed a product-based solution for it. The product aimed at bringing transparency between staff at petrol pump stations and consumers to counter, manipulation done while refuelling bikes. The students were highly appreciated for their idea and were awarded with a certificate, YUJ design studio value book and a trophy at the award ceremony held at Pune on 9th September 2019
